WebFisheries and aquaculture engineering is a multidisciplinary field of engineering that aims to solve technical problems related to aquatic vertebrates, invertebrates, and algae in salt, brackish and freshwater systems to support the development and innovation in both wild capture fisheries and aquaculture. WebLack of information on fisheries resources, open access artisanal fisheries, and poor socio-economic conditions, coupled with the high diversity and low abundance characteristic of tropical environments, place these fisheries resources at risk. Both food resources and the economic activities that support local people will suffer the effects.
