The e7te is a newer mustang motor87-95 if I remember right. It is a roller block. The e6ae are the motors from the 86 mustang and had pistons with out valve reliefs in them. The e6ae motors didn't have e7 heads they had e6 heads that are junk.

I had a set of aluminum heads on a 5.0L once, brand unknown, but I bought plugs for what type of car it was and they were the short threads. I ordered them for a Cobra 5.0L motor, and I got the deeper threaded ones. A quick google shows they flow about the same as a 60's 289/302 head. Probably no advantage over your 72 heads. Unless you prefer pedestal mount rockers over rail rockers with press in studs.

The spark plug is at like a 45 degree angle, around a nub, and pointed directly at the exhaust valve. It's like the spark is hidden from the intake valve.
