I've posted this story on MensRights because my therapist suggested finding support groups where I can, and I'm grateful for the support I received there. But I think my experience is worth discussing in a broader forum. I’ve been dating for a few years. WebOn one hand, I think I get turned down sometimes because of people’s feelings about therapy, or that I might “psychoanalyze” them or something (you know the joke). On the other hand, some people only seem interested because I’m a therapist, and that feels yucky. However, if I don’t share it, that feels a tiny bit shady? I dunno.
